  • Ripe pears: 4 medium-sized
  • Ground cinnamon: 1 teaspoon
  • Ground nutmeg: 1/2 teaspoon
  • Brown sugar: 2 tablespoons
  • Lemon juice: 1 tablespoon
  • Salt: a pinch

Instructions

  1. Wash the ripe pears thoroughly under cool running water.
  2. Slice each pear into thin, fan-like slices, about 1/8 inch thick.
  3. In a small bowl, combine the ground cinnamon, ground nutmeg, brown sugar, and a pinch of salt.
  4. Drizzle the lemon juice over the sliced pears and toss to coat.
  5. Sprinkle the spice mixture over the lemon-coated pear slices and toss again gently.
