Ingredients

- 2 cups elbow macaroni
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 3 cups milk
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook the macaroni according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
- In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.
- Stir in flour and cook for 1 minute.
- Gradually whisk in milk, cooking until thickened.
- Remove from heat and stir in cheddar and mozzarella until melted.
- Add salt, pepper, and paprika to the cheese sauce.
- Combine the macaroni with cheese sauce.
- Pour into a baking dish and top with breadcrumbs.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden and bubbly.
Notes
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- Reheat in the oven for best texture.
- Add cooked bacon or vegetables for variation.
