Description

  • 1 cup (240 ml) barbecue sauce
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 8 slider buns
  • 1 cup (100 g) coleslaw mix
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • Fresh parsley for garnish
  • Pickle slices (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the chicken by placing it in the slow cooker and drizzling with olive oil. Season with garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Pour half of the barbecue sauce over the chicken.
  2. Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours until the chicken is tender.
  3. Remove the chicken from the slow cooker and shred it using two forks. Return the shredded chicken to the slow cooker.
  4. Mix the shredded chicken with the remaining barbecue sauce and let it cook for an additional 15-30 minutes on low.
  5. Assemble the sliders by toasting the slider buns, adding pulled chicken, and topping with coleslaw before closing with the top bun.
