- 2 beef tenderloin steaks (6 oz each)
- 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1/2 cup beef broth
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Season beef tenderloin with salt and pepper.
- Sear the beef for 4-5 minutes on each side until desired doneness.
- Remove beef from skillet and let it rest.
- Add butter and mushrooms to the skillet.
- Sauté mushrooms until they are golden brown.
- Pour in beef broth and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Add heavy cream and stir until sauce thickens.
- Slice beef and serve with mushroom sauce on top.
