Description

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1 pound breakfast sausage
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour (for gravy)
  • 2 cups milk (for gravy)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Add cold butter and mix until crumbly.
  4. Stir in milk until just combined.
  5. Turn dough onto a floured surface and knead gently.
  6. Roll out to 1-inch thickness and cut into rounds.
  7. Place biscuits on a baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes.
  8. While biscuits bake, cook sausage in a skillet until browned.
  9. Add flour to sausage and stir for 1 minute.
  10. Slowly add milk, stirring until thickened.
  11. Season gravy with salt and pepper.
  12. Serve biscuits warm, topped with sausage gravy.
