Ingredients

- 1 cup black beans, cooked
- 1 cup rice
- 2 cups water
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Rinse the rice under cold water.
- In a pot, heat some oil and sauté the onion and garlic until soft.
- Add the cumin and stir for 1 minute.
- Add the rice and water, bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 15-20 minutes.
- In a separate pot, heat the black beans.
- Once the rice is cooked, fluff it with a fork.
- Serve the rice topped with black beans.
