- 1 lb carrots, peeled and cut into sticks
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 cup water
Instructions
- In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
- Add carrots and sauté for 5 minutes.
- Stir in brown sugar, salt, and pepper.
- Add water and bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 10-15 minutes until carrots are tender.
- Uncover and cook for an additional 5 minutes to thicken the glaze.
Notes
- Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less brown sugar.
- For extra flavor, add a pinch of cinnamon.
