These butter mints are a sweet treat that melt in your mouth.

- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 4 cups powdered sugar
- 1/4 cup sweetened condensed milk
- 1 teaspoon peppermint extract
- Food coloring (optional)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter and powdered sugar until smooth.
- Add the sweetened condensed milk and peppermint extract. Mix until well combined.
- If desired, add food coloring and mix until the color is uniform.
- Roll the dough into small balls and place them on a baking sheet.
- Flatten each ball slightly with a fork or your fingers.
- Let the mints dry for 1-2 hours before serving.
Notes
- Store in an airtight container.
- These mints can be made in advance.
- Adjust the peppermint extract to taste.
