Ingredients
- Fresh fish (tilapia, snapper, or halibut) – 1 lb
- Fresh lime juice – 1 cup
- Red onion – 1/2, finely chopped
- Fresh cilantro – 1 handful, roughly chopped
- Jalapeño – 1, seeded and finely chopped
- Sea salt – to taste
- Black pepper – to taste
- Diced avocado – 1 (for serving)
- Diced tomatoes or cucumbers – optional
Instructions
- Select and prepare the seafood by rinsing and cutting it into small cubes.
- Chop the vegetables and herbs: red onion, cilantro, and jalapeño.
- Marinate the seafood in lime juice for 30 minutes to 1 hour until opaque.
- Combine the marinated fish with the chopped vegetables and herbs.
- Serve chilled, garnished with avocado and additional cilantro.
