Description

Chicken Alfredo is a rich and creamy pasta dish made with tender chicken and a flavorful Alfredo sauce. Perfect for any dinner occasion.


Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 8 ounces of fettuccine pasta
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons of butter
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 cup of heavy cream
  • 1 cup of freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and cook the chicken for 6-7 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove the chicken and set aside.
  2. In a pot, bring salted water to a boil and cook fettuccine pasta according to the package instructions, about 10-11 minutes. Drain and reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water.
  3. In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté garlic for 1 minute. Add heavy cream and simmer for 2 minutes. Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and creamy. Adjust the consistency with pasta water if needed.
  4. Add cooked pasta and chicken pieces to the skillet and toss to coat evenly in the sauce. Cook for 1-2 minutes. Taste and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper.
  5. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley and extra Parmesan cheese if desired.

Notes

  • For a lighter version, use half-and-half instead of heavy cream.
  • Substitute chicken with shrimp, grilled vegetables, or tofu for a vegetarian option.
