Description
Crispy chicken tenders served with a creamy yogurt dipping sauce, perfect for any meal or gathering.
Ingredients
Scale
- 500 grams (1 lb) chicken breast, cut into strips
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup breadcrumbs (preferably panko for extra crunch)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for heat)
- Vegetable oil (for frying)
- 1 cup plain yogurt (Greek or regular)
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped (or 1 teaspoon dried dill)
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix the all-purpose flour, garlic powder, paprika, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.
- In another bowl, beat the two large eggs until well combined.
- Place the breadcrumbs in a third bowl.
- In a small bowl, combine the plain yogurt, lemon juice, chopped dill, and minced garlic to make the yogurt dipping sauce.
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add enough vegetable oil to cover the bottom of the pan.
- Carefully add the coated chicken strips to the hot oil, frying for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Transfer the cooked tenders to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
- Serve the chicken tenders on a platter with the yogurt dipping sauce on the side.
Notes
- For a spicier version, add more cayenne pepper or hot sauce to the egg mixture.
- For a healthier option, consider baking the chicken tenders instead of frying.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
