Description

Crispy chicken tenders served with a creamy yogurt dipping sauce, perfect for any meal or gathering.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 500 grams (1 lb) chicken breast, cut into strips
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (preferably panko for extra crunch)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for heat)
  • Vegetable oil (for frying)
  • 1 cup plain yogurt (Greek or regular)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped (or 1 teaspoon dried dill)
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix the all-purpose flour, garlic powder, paprika, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.
  2. In another bowl, beat the two large eggs until well combined.
  3. Place the breadcrumbs in a third bowl.
  4. In a small bowl, combine the plain yogurt, lemon juice, chopped dill, and minced garlic to make the yogurt dipping sauce.
  5. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add enough vegetable oil to cover the bottom of the pan.
  6. Carefully add the coated chicken strips to the hot oil, frying for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  7. Transfer the cooked tenders to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
  8. Serve the chicken tenders on a platter with the yogurt dipping sauce on the side.

Notes

  • For a spicier version, add more cayenne pepper or hot sauce to the egg mixture.
  • For a healthier option, consider baking the chicken tenders instead of frying.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
