Ingredients
Scale
- 2 medium bananas, firm but ripe
- 1 tablespoon coconut oil or melted butter
- 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Instructions
- Peel the bananas and slice them into thin, even rounds about 1/8 inch thick.
- In a small bowl, mix the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon.
- Lightly brush both sides of the banana slices with coconut oil or melted butter.
- Sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture evenly over both sides of the slices.
- Arrange the slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket without overlapping.
- Preheat the air fryer to 300°F (150°C).
- Air fry the banana slices for 10–15 minutes, flipping halfway through. Check for doneness starting at 12 minutes.
- Transfer the banana chips to a wire rack to cool and crisp up.
Notes
- Use firm but ripe bananas for best texture.
- Don’t overcrowd the air fryer basket to ensure even crisping.
- Banana chips will continue to crisp as they cool.
- Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
- Reheat in the air fryer for a few minutes to regain crispiness if needed.
