Description

Ingredients

  • 2 cups mixed dried fruits
  • 1 cup chopped nuts
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup orange juice

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix dried fruits and nuts.
  3. Cream butter and brown sugar until fluffy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well.
  5. Sift flour, baking powder, spices, and salt into the mixture.
  6. Fold in the fruit and nut mixture.
  7. Add orange juice and mix until combined.
  8. Pour batter into a greased cake pan.
  9. Bake for 60-70 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
  10. Let cool before serving.
