Description

Crab Crescent Rolls are a delicious and easy-to-make appetizer combining savory crab meat, creamy cheese, and spices wrapped in flaky crescent roll dough. Perfect for parties, holidays, or as a tasty treat at home, these warm, golden bites offer rich flavors and impressive presentation with minimal effort.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can (8 oz) crescent roll dough
  • 1/2 cup crab meat (canned, fresh, or imitation)
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese (softened)
  • 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Fresh parsley (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  2. Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate into individual triangles.
  3. In a medium bowl, combine crab meat, softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, garlic powder, and black pepper. Mix until smooth and consistent.
  4. Spoon 1-2 tablespoons of the crab mixture onto the wide end of each crescent triangle. Avoid overfilling.
  5. Roll each triangle from the wide end toward the point, sealing edges to prevent filling from escaping.
  6. Place rolls on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them evenly.
  7. Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
  8. Remove from oven and let cool a few minutes.
  9. Optionally, garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

  • Do not overfill crescents to avoid spills and difficulty rolling.
  • Make sure cream cheese is softened for smooth filling.
  • Use fresh crab meat for best flavor, but canned or imitation crab works well.
  • Let dough sit at room temperature briefly for easier rolling.
  • Serve warm with cocktail sauce or lemon aioli for dipping.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days.
  • Reheat in oven or air fryer to maintain crispiness.
  • Freeze unbaked rolls wrapped tightly for up to 2 months; thaw before baking.
  • Variations: add cooked shrimp or lobster, diced jalapeños for spice, or substitute cheeses like pepper jack or feta.
  • Gluten-free option available using gluten-free crescent dough.
