Description

Creamy garlic parmesan mushroom chicken is a rich and comforting dish featuring tender chicken breasts, savory mushrooms, and a luscious creamy sauce.


Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1.5 lbs or 680 g)
  • 8 oz (225 g) fresh mushrooms (cremini or button)
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 cup (240 ml) heavy cream
  • 1 cup (100 g) grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup (240 ml) chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and black pepper (to taste)
  • Fresh herbs (such as parsley or thyme, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Pat the chicken breasts dry and season both sides with salt and black pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat and sear the chicken for 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
  3. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside. In the same skillet, add sliced mushrooms and cook for 5-6 minutes until caramelized.
  4. Add minced garlic to the mushrooms and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  5. Pour in chicken broth and bring to a simmer, allowing it to reduce for 3-4 minutes.
  6. Lower the heat and stir in heavy cream and grated Parmesan cheese until melted and creamy. Season with additional salt and pepper if needed.
  7. Return the chicken to the skillet and spoon the sauce over it. Let simmer for 2-3 minutes to heat through.
  8. Serve warm, garnished with fresh herbs, alongside pasta, rice, or salad.
