- 225 grams (8 oz) Velveeta cheese
- 450 grams (1 lb) ground beef
- 400 grams (14 oz) marinara sauce
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 medium onion
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Fresh basil leaves
- Salt and pepper
Instructions
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add olive oil. Sauté chopped onion and minced garlic for 3-4 minutes until soft.
- Add ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart as it cooks for 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat.
- In a separate pot, boil salted water and cook linguine according to package instructions until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Save 1 cup of pasta water before draining.
- Add marinara sauce and Italian seasoning to the beef, simmer for 5 minutes, and season with salt and pepper.
- Reduce heat to low, add cubed Velveeta cheese, and stir until melted. Adjust consistency with reserved pasta water if needed.
- Add drained linguine to the skillet, tossing to coat with the sauce. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes.
- Serve warm, garnished with fresh basil leaves.
