  • 250 grams (8 oz) linguine pasta
  • 225 grams (8 oz) Velveeta cheese
  • 450 grams (1 lb) ground beef
  • 400 grams (14 oz) marinara sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Fresh basil leaves
  • Salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add olive oil. Sauté chopped onion and minced garlic for 3-4 minutes until soft.
  2. Add ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart as it cooks for 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat.
  3. In a separate pot, boil salted water and cook linguine according to package instructions until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Save 1 cup of pasta water before draining.
  4. Add marinara sauce and Italian seasoning to the beef, simmer for 5 minutes, and season with salt and pepper.
  5. Reduce heat to low, add cubed Velveeta cheese, and stir until melted. Adjust consistency with reserved pasta water if needed.
  6. Add drained linguine to the skillet, tossing to coat with the sauce. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes.
  7. Serve warm, garnished with fresh basil leaves.
