Ingredients

  • 300 grams penne pasta
  • 250 grams ground beef
  • 200 grams Velveeta cheese
  • 240 milliliters heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • Salt, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook the penne pasta in salted boiling water until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Drain and set aside, reserving some pasta water.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Sauté onion and garlic until translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Add ground beef, Cajun seasoning, black pepper, and salt. Cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks.
  4. Reduce heat to medium-low, add heavy cream, and stir to combine. Gradually add Velveeta cheese, stirring until melted and smooth.
  5. Add cooked penne pasta to the skillet, tossing to coat with the sauce. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, adding reserved pasta water if needed.
  6. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.
