- 300 grams penne pasta
- 250 grams ground beef
- 200 grams Velveeta cheese
- 240 milliliters heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Black pepper, to taste
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
Instructions
- Cook the penne pasta in salted boiling water until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Drain and set aside, reserving some pasta water.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Sauté onion and garlic until translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
- Add ground beef, Cajun seasoning, black pepper, and salt. Cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks.
- Reduce heat to medium-low, add heavy cream, and stir to combine. Gradually add Velveeta cheese, stirring until melted and smooth.
- Add cooked penne pasta to the skillet, tossing to coat with the sauce. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, adding reserved pasta water if needed.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.
