Description
Delicious chicken wings that are crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, perfect for any gathering.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 kg (about 2.2 lbs) chicken wings
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 6 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tablespoons Sriracha sauce
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- Fresh parsley for garnish
- Lime juice (optional)
- Fresh herbs (thyme or rosemary, optional)
- Smoked paprika (optional)
Instructions
- Rinse the chicken wings under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.
- In a large bowl, combine olive oil, minced garlic, soy sauce, honey, Sriracha sauce, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper. Whisk until well mixed.
- Add the chicken wings to the marinade and toss until fully coated. Cover and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, preferably up to 2 hours.
- Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F) and line a baking sheet with aluminum foil. Place a wire rack on top.
- Remove the wings from the marinade, shaking off excess liquid, and arrange them in a single layer on the wire rack.
- Bake the wings for 40-45 minutes, flipping them halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
- In the last 5 minutes of baking, brush the wings with any leftover marinade for extra flavor.
- Let the wings rest for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and serve with dipping sauces.
Notes
- Do not skip the drying step for crispy wings.
- Marinate for longer for enhanced flavor.
- Avoid overcrowding the baking sheet.
- Flip the wings halfway through cooking for even browning.
