This is a simple recipe for making homemade white bread.
Ingredients

- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 2 teaspoons sugar
- 1 packet (2 1/4 teaspoons) active dry yeast
- 1 1/2 cups warm water
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit until frothy.
- Add olive oil, salt, and flour to the mixture.
- Knead the dough for about 10 minutes until smooth.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl and cover. Let it rise for 1 hour.
- Punch down the dough and shape it into a loaf.
- Place the loaf in a greased pan and let it rise for another 30 minutes.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 30-35 minutes.
- Let it cool before slicing.
Notes
- Store bread in a cool, dry place.
- Can be frozen for later use.
- Try adding herbs for extra flavor.
