Description

Ingredients

  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 1 cup cold water
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a deep pan to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, cornstarch, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, combine cold water and beaten egg.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture until just combined.
  5. Dip each shrimp in the batter, allowing excess to drip off.
  6. Fry shrimp in batches until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes.
  7. Remove and drain on paper towels.
  8. Serve hot with dipping sauce.
