Description

A colorful and delightful Fruity Jello dessert that combines layers of flavored gelatin with fresh fruits, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 cups water
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 4 packages (3 oz each) flavored gelatin (choose your favorites like strawberry, orange, and lime)
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1 cup mandarin oranges, drained
  • 1 cup kiwi, peeled and diced
  • 1 cup whipped cream (for topping)
  • Fresh mint leaves (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

  1. Gather all your ingredients.
  2. In a medium saucepan, bring 1 cup of water to a boil. Remove from heat and stir in the granulated sugar until dissolved. Add the flavored gelatin packets one at a time, mixing well until fully dissolved. Pour in the remaining 2 cups of cold water and mix well. Allow to cool slightly.
  3. Pour a portion of the gelatin into a clear glass dish to cover the bottom (about 1/3 of the mixture) and refrigerate for about 30 minutes until firm.
  4. Distribute the sliced strawberries over the first gelatin layer, then pour another portion of the gelatin mixture over the strawberries. Return to the refrigerator for another 30 minutes.
  5. Repeat the layering process with mandarin oranges, gelatin, kiwi, and gelatin until all fruits are used and the dish is filled. Allow the final layer to set completely for about 2 hours.
  6. Once set, top each serving with whipped cream and garnish with fresh mint leaves. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

  • Use fresh fruits for the best taste and texture.
  • Frozen fruits can be used but may release extra moisture.
  • Experiment with different flavors of gelatin and fruits.
  • Consider using sugar substitutes for a healthier option.
