Description

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1.5 lbs)
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • Juice of half a lemon (optional)

Instructions

  1. Pat chicken breasts dry and season both sides with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Let rest 15 minutes.
  2. Heat 2 tablespoons butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chicken and cook 6-7 minutes per side until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  3. Reduce heat to low, add remaining butter and minced garlic. Stir continuously for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Return chicken to skillet, coat with garlic butter sauce. Squeeze lemon juice over if desired. Cook 1 more minute to warm through.
  5. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve.
