Description
German potato pancakes, also known as Kartoffelpuffer, are crispy and flavorful. They are made from grated potatoes and are perfect as a side dish or snack.

- 4 medium potatoes, grated
- 1 small onion, grated
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- Grate the potatoes and onion.
- Place grated potatoes and onion in a bowl.
- Add eggs, flour, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
- Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
- Drop spoonfuls of the mixture into the pan.
- Fry until golden brown on both sides, about 3-4 minutes each side.
- Remove and drain on paper towels.
Notes
- Serve with applesauce or sour cream.
- For extra crispiness, squeeze out excess moisture from potatoes.
