Grinch cookies are fun, festive treats perfect for the holiday season. They are soft, chewy, and decorated to resemble the Grinch.
Ingredients

- 1 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup green candy melts
- 1/2 cup red candy hearts
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar.
- Add the eggs and vanilla extract, and mix until combined.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until combined.
- Fold in the green candy melts.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are lightly golden.
- Remove from oven and immediately place red candy hearts on top of each cookie.
- Let cool before serving.
Notes
- Store cookies in an airtight container.
- You can substitute green food coloring if candy melts are not available.
- Chill the dough for 30 minutes for thicker cookies.
