Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts
  • 1/2 cup dried fruit

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine warm milk and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
  2. Add melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract. Mix well.
  3. In another bowl, mix flour, salt, and cinnamon.
  4. Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture. Stir until combined.
  5. Fold in nuts and dried fruit.
  6. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes.
  7. Place the dough in a greased bowl. Cover and let rise for 1 hour.
  8. Punch down the dough and shape it into loaves.
  9. Place loaves in greased pans. Let rise for another 30 minutes.
  10. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown.
