Italian stuffed cabbage rolls filled with meat and rice.
Ingredients

- 1 large head of cabbage
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 cup cooked rice
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (15 ounces) tomato sauce
- 1 can (14.5 ounces) diced tomatoes
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Bring a large pot of water to a boil and blanch the cabbage leaves for 2-3 minutes.
- In a bowl, mix the ground beef, cooked rice, onion, garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Place a portion of the meat mixture in each cabbage leaf and roll tightly.
- Spread a layer of tomato sauce on the bottom of a baking dish.
- Arrange the cabbage rolls seam-side down in the dish.
- Pour the remaining tomato sauce and diced tomatoes over the rolls.
- Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes.
Notes
- Adjust seasoning to your preference.
- Use leftover rice for quicker prep.
- Top with cheese for extra flavor.
