Description

Marry Me Chicken is a flavorful, creamy chicken dish featuring juicy chicken breasts in a rich cream sauce with sun-dried tomatoes and parmesan cheese. It’s perfect for romantic dinners or a comforting meal at home.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh basil or parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken breasts generously with salt and pepper. In a skillet, heat olive oil and butter over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken for 6-7 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through. Set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and sauté minced garlic for 1 minute. Add chicken broth and simmer for 2 minutes before adding heavy cream, chopped sun-dried tomatoes, and Italian seasoning.
  3. Stir in grated parmesan cheese and let the sauce simmer for 3-5 minutes until thickened.
  4. Return the chicken to the skillet, coating it with the creamy sauce. Simmer together for 5-7 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  5. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper to taste. Garnish with fresh basil or parsley before serving.

Notes

  • For a lighter version, substitute the heavy cream with half-and-half or coconut milk.
  • Chicken thighs can be used for a juicier texture instead of chicken breasts.
  • For a dairy-free option, replace parmesan cheese with nutritional yeast.
  • To prevent overcooking, ensure the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
