- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 2 cups packed brown sugar
- 1 cup light corn syrup
- 1 can sweetened condensed milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- In a large microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter in the microwave.
- Add brown sugar, corn syrup, and sweetened condensed milk to the melted butter.
- Mix well until combined.
- Microwave on high for 6 minutes, stirring every 2 minutes.
- Add vanilla extract and mix well.
- Pour the mixture into a greased 9×13 inch pan.
- Let it cool completely before cutting into squares.
Notes
- Store in an airtight container.
- Cut caramels into desired sizes before they set completely.
- Add sea salt on top for a salted caramel variation.
