Description
Mozzarella Fried Cheese Bites are a crispy and gooey treat made with mozzarella cheese, breadcrumbs, and simple seasonings. Perfect for sharing or as a solo snack.

- 1 lb mozzarella cheese (block form)
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup breadcrumbs (panko preferred)
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Vegetable oil for frying
Instructions
- Cut the mozzarella cheese into 1-inch cubes and freeze for 30 minutes.
- Set up the breading station with flour, beaten eggs, and a mixture of breadcrumbs, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Coat each cheese cube in flour, dip in eggs, and roll in the breadcrumb mixture.
- Heat 2 inches of vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Fry the cheese bites for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Remove from oil and place on paper towels to drain excess oil. Repeat until all cheese bites are fried.
Notes
- Freezing the cheese cubes before frying helps prevent the cheese from melting too quickly during cooking.
- For extra crunch, substitute breadcrumbs with crushed cornflakes.
- Serve with marinara sauce for dipping.
- Ensure not to overcrowd the frying pan to maintain oil temperature and cook evenly.
