Old School Pizza Burgers combine the flavors of pizza with a juicy beef patty, topped with cheese, pizza sauce, and your favorite pizza toppings.

- 1 cup pizza sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup sliced pepperoni (optional)
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 hamburger buns
- 2 tablespoons olive oil (for toasting buns)
Instructions
- Prep the Patties: Mix ground beef with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Form into four patties.
- Cook the Patties: Grill or cook the patties for 4-5 minutes per side, adding pizza sauce on top while cooking.
- Add the Cheese and Toppings: In the last minute of cooking, add mozzarella cheese and optional pepperoni, then cover to melt.
- Toast the Buns: Heat olive oil in a skillet and toast the buns until golden brown.
- Assemble the Burgers: Place a cheesy patty on each toasted bun, add more pizza sauce if desired, and top with the second half of the bun.
Notes
- For a leaner option, substitute ground turkey or chicken for beef.
- Feel free to experiment with other cheeses or toppings like vegetables, bacon, or pineapple.
- Use a meat thermometer to ensure the burgers reach 160°F (71°C) for safe consumption.
