Description
One Pot Creamy Tomato Beef Pasta is a comforting and easy-to-make dish that combines pasta with a rich tomato sauce and savory ground beef.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground beef
- 12 ounces pasta (penne, rotini, or your choice)
- 1 (14.5 oz) can diced tomatoes
- 1 (15 oz) can tomato sauce
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
- Fresh basil or parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Brown the ground beef in a large pot or deep skillet over medium heat for 5-7 minutes. Remove from the pot and set aside.
- Sauté the diced onion and minced garlic in the same pot for 3-4 minutes until the onion is translucent.
- Add diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, heavy cream, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Stir and bring to a simmer for 2-3 minutes.
- Add the pasta to the pot, making sure it’s submerged in the sauce. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, cover, and cook for 10-12 minutes until pasta is al dente.
- Return the browned beef to the pot and stir everything together. Optionally, sprinkle in Parmesan cheese and garnish with fresh basil or parsley.
Notes
- For a leaner version, substitute ground turkey or chicken.
- Gluten-free or whole wheat pasta can be used as alternatives.
- For a dairy-free option, use full-fat coconut milk instead of heavy cream.
- Add spinach or other vegetables for added nutrition.
- Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for 3-4 days or frozen for longer storage.
