Description

A hearty breakfast casserole featuring the classic flavors of a Philly cheesesteak.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound of ground beef
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1 green bell pepper, diced
  • 8 eggs
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 2 cups of shredded provolone cheese
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • 1 loaf of Italian bread, cubed

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, cook the ground beef, onion, and bell pepper over medium heat until the meat is browned.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  4. Add the cooked beef mixture to the egg mixture.
  5. Fold in the bread cubes and half of the cheese.
  6. Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish.
  7. Top with remaining cheese.
  8. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until set.

Notes

  • Let the casserole cool for a few minutes before serving.
  • Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • This dish can be made ahead of time and reheated.
