Description

Philly Cheesesteak Pasta combines two beloved comfort foods: Philly cheesesteak and pasta, offering a hearty, cheesy, and flavorful dish perfect for any night.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces of pasta (penne or fettuccine)
  • 1 pound of beef steak (ribeye or sirloin), thinly sliced
  • 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 medium green bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 1/2 cups provolone or mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to the package instructions until al dente, then drain and set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add onions and bell peppers. Sauté for about 5-7 minutes until softened.
  3. Push the vegetables to the side of the skillet, add the sliced beef, and cook for about 5 minutes, until browned.
  4. Add minced garlic to the skillet, cooking for 1 minute until fragrant. Then pour in beef broth and heavy cream, stir, and simmer for 2 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in shredded cheese until melted and creamy.
  6. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss everything together until the pasta is well-coated with the sauce. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with additional cheese or parsley if desired.

Notes

  • For a lighter option, you can substitute beef with chicken or turkey.
  • Use gluten-free pasta for a gluten-free version.
  • Other melty cheeses like cheddar or gouda can replace provolone or mozzarella.
  • Feel free to add more vegetables like mushrooms, zucchini, or asparagus for extra flavor and nutrition.
