Description
Really Quick Broccoli Pasta is a fast, flavorful dish with al dente pasta and fresh broccoli, tossed in a light garlic olive oil sauce.

- 200 grams (7 oz) pasta (spaghetti, penne, or your choice)
- 250 grams (9 oz) fresh broccoli florets
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Grated Parmesan cheese (for serving)
- Red pepper flakes (optional, for a spicy kick)
Instructions
- Cook pasta in salted water according to package instructions. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the pasta.
- Wash broccoli and add it to the pot with the pasta for the last 2-3 minutes of cooking. Drain pasta and broccoli together.
- In the same pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Return pasta and broccoli to the pot. Toss with garlic oil. Season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes. Add reserved pasta water if needed for consistency.
- Serve immediately with grated Parmesan cheese and extra red pepper flakes, if desired.

- Use whole-grain or gluten-free pasta for a healthier option.
- Substitute olive oil with avocado or another neutral oil.
- For a dairy-free option, omit Parmesan cheese or use nutritional yeast.
