Description
Salmon Alfredo Pasta is a rich and creamy dish combining tender salmon, fettuccine pasta, and a buttery Alfredo sauce for a comforting meal.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 oz. fettuccine pasta
- 1 lb. salmon fillet
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley or basil, for garnish
Instructions
- Boil salted water in a large pot and cook fettuccine pasta until al dente (8-10 minutes). Reserve ½ cup pasta water, then drain.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Season the salmon with salt and pepper, then cook for 4-5 minutes per side, until it flakes easily. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, sauté garlic for 1 minute. Add heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Stir in Parmesan cheese until smooth. Add reserved pasta water to adjust sauce consistency if needed.
- Combine cooked pasta with Alfredo sauce in the skillet. Gently fold in flaked salmon. Serve warm, garnished with parsley or basil.
Notes
- Use fresh salmon for the best flavor.
- Feel free to swap fettuccine with spaghetti, penne, or gluten-free pasta.
- For a lighter version, substitute heavy cream with half-and-half.
- Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper to taste.
