- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup steak sauce
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1/4 cup beef broth

- 4 burger buns
- Optional: 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

- Toast burger buns lightly in a toaster or skillet.
- Spoon the meat mixture onto the bottom buns. Add optional cheddar cheese, pickles, and crispy fried onions if desired. Cover with top buns and serve hot.
Notes
- Use medium heat to avoid tough meat.
- Season early for better flavor development.
- Try adding cayenne or hot sauce for spice.
- Substitute ground turkey or lentils for vegetarian options.
- Store leftovers in airtight container; separate buns and filling.
- Reheat gently to avoid drying out.
