  • ½ cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons cinnamon sugar (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the dry ingredients: flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and cloves.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vegetable oil. Mix well, then add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in pumpkin puree and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring gently until just combined. Fold in nuts if desired.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top. Sprinkle cinnamon sugar on top.
