Description

Spicy Garlic Noodles combine bold garlic, chili oil, and soy sauce flavors with tender noodles for a quick, delicious, and versatile meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces noodles (spaghetti, linguine, or rice noodles)
  • 4 cloves garlic, finely minced
  • 2 tablespoons chili oil
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • Sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of water to boil and cook noodles according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve some cooking water and drain noodles.
  2. In a bowl, mix chili oil, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and sugar until sugar dissolves. Add minced garlic and crushed red pepper flakes, stir to combine.
  3. Return noodles to pot or large bowl. Pour sauce over noodles, tossing to coat evenly. Add reserved noodle water as needed to loosen sauce.
  4. Add chopped green onions and toss gently.
  5. Sprinkle sesame seeds on top as garnish and serve hot.

Notes

  • Use gluten-free or whole wheat noodles for dietary preferences.
  • Adjust chili oil and red pepper flakes for desired heat level.
  • Reserve noodle cooking water to adjust sauce consistency.
  • Burn garlic carefully to avoid bitterness.
  • Serve with grilled chicken, shrimp, tofu, or sautéed vegetables for a complete meal.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • Freeze noodles without fresh toppings for up to 3 months.
