Description

Sticky Beef & Noodles One Pan is a flavorful and easy one-pan meal combining tender beef, crisp vegetables, and chewy noodles in a sticky-sweet sauce.


Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon Sunflower oil
  • 400 g Steak, fat removed and cut into thin strips
  • 300 g Broccoli or a whole head
  • 160 g Mange tout
  • 250 g Dried egg noodles
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh crushed ginger or from a jar
  • 4 cloves Garlic, peeled and crushed
  • 5 tablespoons Oyster sauce
  • 6 tablespoons Dark soy sauce (reduced sodium)
  • 6 tablespoons Honey
  • 6 tablespoons Tomato ketchup
  • 4 Spring onions, trimmed and thinly sliced

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix oyster sauce, dark soy sauce, honey, and tomato ketchup. Set aside.
  2. Place egg noodles in a bowl, cover with boiling water, and let soak until softened. Drain and set aside.
  3. Heat sunflower oil in a large pan or wok over high heat. Add beef strips and cook for 4-5 minutes, stirring, until browned and cooked through.
  4. Add broccoli and mangetout to the pan. Cook for another 4-5 minutes, stirring to slightly soften vegetables.
  5. Add soaked noodles and prepared sauce to the pan. Toss everything together until evenly coated and heated through.
  6. Garnish with sliced spring onions and serve immediately while hot.

Notes

  • Do not overcook the beef; cook just until browned.
  • Soak noodles only until softened to avoid mushiness.
  • Have all ingredients prepped before cooking for efficiency.
  • Marinating the beef in sauce beforehand enhances flavor.
