Description
A spooky and delicious brownie recipe featuring a rich chocolate base and vibrant raspberry sauce that resembles a vampire’s bite.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup (225 g) unsalted butter
- 2 cups (400 g) granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup (125 g) all-purpose flour
- 1 cup (90 g) unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup (175 g) dark chocolate chips
- 1 cup (240 ml) raspberry sauce
- Fresh raspberries for garnish
- Chocolate shavings for garnish
- Powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Prepare a 9×13 inch (23×33 cm) baking pan by greasing it or lining it with parchment paper.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter and granulated sugar, then add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, and stir in the vanilla extract.
- Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture, stirring gently until just combined, then fold in the dark chocolate chips.
- Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly. Bake for 25-30 minutes, checking for doneness with a toothpick.
- Allow the brownies to cool for 10-15 minutes in the pan, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely. Cut into squares and drizzle raspberry sauce over each square to create the vampire bite effect.
Notes
- For gluten-free brownies, substitute all-purpose flour with a gluten-free flour blend.
- For vegan brownies, replace eggs with flax eggs and use dairy-free butter and chocolate chips.
- Store brownies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week or freeze for up to three months.
