Description

A spooky and delicious brownie recipe featuring a rich chocolate base and vibrant raspberry sauce that resembles a vampire’s bite.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup (225 g) unsalted butter
  • 2 cups (400 g) granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup (125 g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup (90 g) unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup (175 g) dark chocolate chips
  • 1 cup (240 ml) raspberry sauce
  • Fresh raspberries for garnish
  • Chocolate shavings for garnish
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare a 9×13 inch (23×33 cm) baking pan by greasing it or lining it with parchment paper.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter and granulated sugar, then add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, and stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture, stirring gently until just combined, then fold in the dark chocolate chips.
  6. Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly. Bake for 25-30 minutes, checking for doneness with a toothpick.
  7. Allow the brownies to cool for 10-15 minutes in the pan, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely. Cut into squares and drizzle raspberry sauce over each square to create the vampire bite effect.

Notes

  • For gluten-free brownies, substitute all-purpose flour with a gluten-free flour blend.
  • For vegan brownies, replace eggs with flax eggs and use dairy-free butter and chocolate chips.
  • Store brownies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week or freeze for up to three months.
