Ingredients

  • Fettuccine pasta: 12 oz (340 g)
  • Tender steak: 1 lb (450 g)
  • Velveeta cheese: 8 oz (225 g)
  • Garlic: 4 cloves
  • Heavy cream: 1 cup (240 ml)
  • Butter: 4 tablespoons (56 g)
  • Black pepper: To taste
  • Fresh parsley: 1/4 cup, chopped
  • Salt: To taste
  • Olive oil: 1 tablespoon

Instructions

  1. Boil a large pot of salted water and cook the fettuccine according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water.
  2. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat, add olive oil, season steak with salt and pepper, and sear for 2-3 minutes on each side. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, lower heat to medium, add butter, and melt. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute.
  4. Pour in heavy cream, bring to a gentle simmer, and add cubed Velveeta cheese, stirring until melted. Adjust thickness with reserved pasta water if needed.
  5. Add cooked fettuccine and seared steak to the skillet, toss to coat, and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper. Serve with chopped parsley on top.
